 Sun iSMS is a standard texting service that cellphone users

subscribed to Sun Cellular. Sun iSMS offers coverage of major
destinations around the world.
With Sun iSMS, Sun subscriber can continue the texting experience with colleagues, friends, and family living abroad. Sun Cellular offers the
best value in international text messaging by combining the
lowest iSMS rates available in the market with extensive country
coverage.
The Sun iSMS Service allows
subscribers to experience
sending international text
messages to over 170 destinations. There are 3 available texting
modes, which may vary depending on the operator abroad:
- Two-way with reply
back
- Two-way with foreign
initiated message
- One-way sending
only.
HOW TO SEND AN INTERNATIONAL TEXT MESSAGE
Sending a text message is so easy! Just follow these five steps:
- Go to the "Write Message" menu of your mobile
phone and compose your message there.
- Select "Send" from the Messages submenu
of your mobile phone.
- Input destination number, if you are sending to recipient
not listed in the directory or scroll to the desired recipient
from your address book.
- Please remember to put a + sign, the designated country
code, operator code, and mobile number.
- Press "OK" to send.
- Wait for the "Message Sent" notification.
Note: Commands and prompts illustrated above may differ
depending on handset model.
IS THERE A SPECIAL STEP NEEDED TO SEND TEXT MESSAGES
TO NON-GSM COUNTRIES?
No special steps are required
except if your recipient is located in Japan. Your Japanese
recipient has to first register by creating a phone email message,
key in the mobile number in the message body, and send it to reg@emg.ph.
This will enable him to receive your text and to reply back.
Note that a Sun Cellular subscriber cannot register for his

IF I SEND A TEXT MESSAGE TO SOMEONE ABROAD, IS IT
POSSIBLE FOR THE RECIPIENT TO REPLY BACK VIA TEXT AS WELL?
Through Sun Cellular’s International Text Messaging,
you can send text messages to your loved ones abroad. Also,
through a number of connections depending on operator and country,
your text recipient may also reply via text.

IS IT POSSIBLE FOR A FOREIGN OPERATOR SUBSCRIBER TO
INITIATE SENDING A TEXT MESSAGE TO A SUN SUBSCRIBER?
Yes, if the sender is a
subscriber of a foreign operator which can initiate sending
of a text message to Sun Cellular.
