No aggressive or cursing
words. Do not use language
that can be defamatory, abusive,
vulgar, hateful, discriminatory,
harassing, obscene, profane, or
threatening to other members. Flaming
or lashing out at other participants
will not be tolerated, just as prejudiced
or racist remarks are not allowed.
Proper chat etiquette should always
be followed to participate in Yehey!
Stay on topic.
Yehey! hosts chat events every so
often, hence the topics on the main
channel should stay within what
is being discussed. If you don’t
want to participate in the chat
event or want to discuss an unrelated
topic, feel free to continue your
discussions to another channel or
private message.
No unnecessary repetition.
Flooding, or posting a message repeatedly
so the screen scrolls faster than
other users are able to type, disrupts
the flow of dialogue and makes it
hard for other members to engage
in real time exchanges. One post
is enough for your message to be
seen by other chatters. ers.
No fighting.
Arguments that get out of hand will
not be tolerated and operators will
remove all problem people from the
chat rooms, regardless of who started
it.
No PDA. Public
Display of Affection will not be
tolerated and such messages should
be kept private. Any form of explicit
messaging is not permitted on Yehey!
No typing in all caps.
Typing in all capital letters is
considered shouting and very rude.
As such, this behavior should not
be used.
No illegal activities.
Transcripts of any activity done
within this site can be provided
to authorities as required. As such,
anything deemed illegal will neither
be allowed on Yehey!
No inappropriate log-in
names. Names that have
sexual connotations, graphic violence
or use profanity are not allowed.
Impersonation, or assuming another
chatter’s username and manner of
writing, is also unacceptable.
Operators
are the people who monitor the chat
rooms and police the rules. They
have the ability to remove you from
the chat rooms if you break any
of the rules. Operators are only
human though and do sometimes make
mistakes. If you are mistakenly
booted, you will be able to come
back. It is understandable that
you will be upset, but try not to
come back and give the Operators
a reason to boot you again.
